Spreading the gospel and God's love to anybody, anywhere, at any time.
We believe in empowering people in seeking God individually and corporately to develop a vision for the future as we grow in effectiveness and excellence in the gospel. By building more churches in rural Africa and distributing Bibles and religious books to African prisons and people living in severe poverty.
Jesus is the Head of the Church, and all that we do is guided by the will of God through the power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:22–23).
Love is at the heart of who God is. We reflect this love by serving others sacrificially, just as Christ served us (John 3:16).
We carry confident expectation and trust in God, even when the path ahead is not visible.
We walk by faith, trusting God’s promises, not merely what we can see (2 Corinthians 5:7).
We proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, and establish strong, indigenous communities of believers.
Growing up in the Rift Valley of Kenya, East Africa, I had to walk over an hour just to reach a place of worship. Along the way, we faced real dangers—encounters with deadly wildlife such as pythons, lions, and elephants, as well as the risk of speeding vehicles.
One morning on our way to church, I lost a childhood friend who was bitten by a black mamba and died before reaching the hospital. Another close friend was killed instantly by a speeding hit-and-run driver while we helplessly watched. These were children I grew up with—we attended the same school and worshiped together until their lives were cut short.
On another occasion, we encountered two massive pythons along our path. By God’s grace, wildlife rangers arrived and safely returned them to the wilderness. Many children, both then and now, fear traveling to church or school because of these dangers.
No one should be afraid to go to church or school. These experiences are why Disciples of Hope International Ministry exists to bring churches closer to communities in rural and remote areas of Africa, making faith accessible to all.
For over ten years, by the grace of God, we have built churches in underserved regions. We are committed to expanding this work across the continent, ensuring people can safely and easily access places of worship.
We are also deeply passionate about spreading the Gospel within African prisons by providing Bibles and religious materials. We have witnessed a growing number of prison conversions. Children and teenagers are central to this mission they are the backbone of our society. We work to reduce screen dependency and encourage engagement in faith-based, community, and outreach programs.
